Western Massachusetts Slow Food Benefit Dinner

Local 111 is offering a 3-course local foods menu on Sunday October 26th to benefit the Western Massachusetts Chapter of Slow Food.

Slow Food is an international organization founded in 1989 that promotes the pleasures of the table and taste education as well as the conservation of agricultural biodiversity.

The three course dinner features braised short ribs from Grazin' Angus Acres in Ghent as well as local produce from The Farm at Miller's Crossing, Threshold Farm, Gumaer Dairy, Wild Hive Farms and The Old Chatham Sheepherding Company.

Dan Gibson, the owner of Grazin' Angus Acres in Ghent, will give some brief remarks on running a grass-fed beef operation.

Price for the three course meal is $48 exclusive of drinks, tax, and tip. Thirty percent of the food revenue will be donated to the Western Massachusetts Chapter of Slow Foods.
